While a drug user may feel like addiction only affects them, the truth is that their addiction affects their families and friends too. Our goal is to empower families to not only understand addiction, but know how to manage this condition and support the patient during their recovery.
Our therapists help all members of the family – no matter how young or old – understand addiction, denial, mental health disorders, and what it means for them. We also teach families about healthy boundaries and communication. While our case managers work hard to find the best aftercare services for the patient’s lifestyle and needs, we also strive to educate families about ways to find community resources and support for long-term management.
