Recovery Transportation Services with Elite Home Detox

Getting from one place to the next is often one of the hardest parts of starting or continuing recovery, and one of the most overlooked. A rideshare gets you from point A to point B, but it doesn’t provide supervision, doesn’t know how to respond if something goes wrong, and doesn’t understand what someone in active withdrawal or early recovery actually needs. Elite Home Detox’s recovery transportation service is more than arranging a ride. It’s coordinated, supervised transportation designed to safely help someone transition from their current environment to an appropriate treatment or recovery destination, with a qualified professional accompanying them for the entire trip.

How Recovery Transportation Works

This is a supervised escort service, Elite Home Detox does not own or operate its own fleet of vehicles. Instead, depending on the client’s needs, a sober companion, recovery coach, nurse, or other qualified professional accompanies the client while traveling to a treatment facility, detox center, residential program, airport, home, or other approved destination.

Transportation itself can be coordinated through rideshare services, professional or private driving services, commercial airlines, or private aviation, and our team can also assist with coordinating travel and booking arrangements when needed. There’s no set maximum distance for ground transportation, and wheelchair-accessible or medically monitored transportation can be arranged whenever it’s clinically appropriate.

Who Accompanies You

The professional who travels with you depends on your clinical and behavioral needs, and may include a sober companion, a recovery coach, or a licensed nurse or other medical professional.

All personnel are appropriately screened, which can include CPR and First Aid certification, background checks, clean driving records (when the individual is responsible for driving), and de-escalation and crisis-intervention training. Whenever possible and requested, we can also coordinate a same-gender professional to accompany the client.

How In-Home Ambien Detox Works

Transportation can sometimes be arranged the same day, though 24–48 hours’ notice is preferred whenever possible.

This service can be used on its own, you don’t need to be enrolled in Elite Home Detox’s detox program to use it, or coordinated as part of a larger continuum of care, including medical detox, intervention services, case management, sober companionship, or treatment placement and transition support.

Medical Screening and Withdrawal Support

Clients using recovery transportation go through an appropriate medical screening and clearance process, similar to what’s required for our in-home detox clients. When clinically appropriate, a licensed medical provider may become involved in the case, and medication may be prescribed or administered to help manage symptoms during the transition, though medication is not required for transportation services.

In certain circumstances, we may be able to assist a client who is intoxicated or experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Client safety always comes first: if our medical team determines that intoxication, withdrawal symptoms, or a medical condition make non-emergency transportation unsafe, we will not proceed, and we’ll recommend an appropriate higher level of medical care or emergency services instead.

Voluntary Transportation Only

Elite Home Detox does not provide involuntary transportation. Clients must voluntarily agree to the transportation and be willing to receive assistance.

We may be able to help coordinate transportation involving court, probation, or other legal circumstances, but the individual must still be participating voluntarily. We do not transport minors.

Pricing

Recovery transportation is a private-pay service and is not billed to insurance. Pricing is structured on a per-hour or per-trip basis and depends on factors including the client’s current location, final destination, distance and travel time, the type of transportation required, the level of professional supervision needed, any airfare, private aviation, or professional driving arrangements, and any special medical or accessibility requirements. Because every case is different, pricing is provided after reviewing the specific transportation needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this just a rideshare with a chaperone?

No. A sober companion, recovery coach, nurse, or other qualified professional accompanies you for the full trip, and clients go through the same kind of medical screening required for our in-home detox clients. It’s supervised, clinically coordinated support, not just a ride.

Do I need to be enrolled in your detox program to use this service?

No. Recovery transportation can be used as a standalone service, or coordinated as part of a larger continuum of care that includes medical detox, intervention services, case management, or sober companionship.

Can you help if I’m currently intoxicated or experiencing withdrawal?

In certain circumstances, yes. Client safety always comes first, if our medical team determines that non-emergency transportation isn’t safe given your condition, we won’t proceed, and we’ll recommend an appropriate higher level of care instead.

Is recovery transportation covered by insurance?

No. It’s a private-pay service, priced per-hour or per-trip based on your specific transportation needs.

Can a family member or court arrange this on someone’s behalf?

We may be able to coordinate transportation involving court, probation, or other legal circumstances, but the individual being transported must still be voluntarily participating. We do not provide involuntary transportation, and we do not transport minors.
